Ford F-150 Raptor: More Shame For Chevy Silverado
The F-150 Raptor arrived on the market in 2010 and since this time it has been a huge hit as it offers up superb off the road performance. Now the 2017 Ford F-150 is on its way and it’s going to put the Chevrolet Silverado to even more shame.
There is a great deal of buzz surrounding the 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor and this alone has been worth the effort of making the vehicle. But what has happened to the competition? Why hasn’t GM got their own version of a pick-up that offers high performance and which can go off the road?

Mercedes-AMG GT3 to race in 2017 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship
Mercedes-AMG is coming to the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship in 2017.
Mercedes-Benz USA and Mercedes-AMG unveiled their plans on Wednesday morning to join the IMSA WeatherTech Championship. Riley Motorsports will race two Mercedes-AMG GT3 cars in the GT Daytona class.
One of the team's cars will run as AMG-Team Riley Motorsports, and the other as WeatherTech Racing.
Additional teams are expected to race the Mercedes-AMG GT3 cars as customer teams.
“We are thrilled to see the three-pointed star compete in North America’s premier endurance racing series in 2017," said Dietmar Exler, president and CEO of Mercedes-Benz USA. "Our Mercedes-AMG GT3 race car has already proven itself in worldwide competition and should quickly become a fan favorite. We are very excited about our prospects for the 2017 racing season.”
“It’s really an honor to be aligned with AMG,” Riley said. “The car looks so fast even standing still, and I can’t wait to start running it in anger. I was thinking the other day how many times a Mercedes-Benz has raced at Daytona and I can’t remember once. When I look at it that way, it’s pretty significant to be involved.”
Mitsubishi’s revised 2017 ASX crossover will hit UK dealerships starting November 1st.
The refreshed ASX boasts Mitsubishi’s “Dynamic Shield” visual identity, as well as a shark-fin antenna, revised seat cushions, new seat upholstery across the range and a new “Lightning Blue” exterior color.
The range itself has also been changed as far as what the versions are called as Mitsubishi have returned to the straightforward ASX 2, ASX 3, ASX 4 and ASX 5 format to go with the updated trim levels.
As for engines, they have been carried over from the outgoing model. This means that customers will still be able to choose between the 117 HP 1.6-liter MIVEC petrol, the 114 HP 1.6-liter DI-D diesel and the 150 HP 2.2-liter DI-D diesel engines.
With the ASX 2 being the entry-point to the ASX range, it’s comforting to know that Mitsubishi is still offering a high level of standard equipment which includes 16″ alloys, front fog lamps, air conditioning, Bluetooth connectivity, USB port with iPhone compatibility, leather-trimmed steering wheel, multifunction color instrument display, electric windows front & rear, rear privacy glass and arm rests for front & rear occupants. Standard safety gear includes Mitsubishi Active Stability and Traction Control, Hill Start Assist and seven airbags.
